Perinatal Ultrasound Technician PRN

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Perinatal Ultrasound Technician PRN to provide high quality perinatal ultrasound services at MSO - MC Lewisville OB & MFM.

Job Summary

Provide specialized fetal and gynecological ultrasound evaluations, maintain equipment, and collaborate with providers to ensure efficient, accurate patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Apply fetal and gynecological ultrasound principles to evaluate fetal anomalies.
  • Adapt to various ultrasound machines while maintaining high sonography standards.
  • Identify fetal anomalies across multiple organ systems.
  • Perform ultrasounds on maternal uterus, cervix, and ovaries, including complicated twin and triplet scans.
  • Identify gynecological anomalies such as fibroids, thickened endometrium, and polyps.
  • Make preliminary diagnoses of gynecological and fetal disorders.
  • Operate GE, Accuson, Medison, and ATL ultrasound machines with proficiency.
  • Maintain ultrasound logs and patient history records.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including Level I & II ultrasounds and procedures such as amniocentesis and external cephalic version.
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff and hospital personnel.
  • Use independent judgment for biophysical profile interpretation.
  • Alert physicians to potentially dangerous conditions and report fetal weight disturbances.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Ultrasound (required);
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • RDMS certification required (RDMS – OB/GYN preferred).
