Neuro Hospitalist — Acute Care NP or PA

We are a growing inpatient neurology program in Arlington hiring an acute care nurse practitioner or physician assistant for our neuro hospitalist team. You will round on and admit high-acuity neurology and stroke patients, perform detailed neurological assessments, join stroke responses, interpret diagnostics and plan discharges, working closely with neurologists, intensivists, neurosurgeons and hospitalists. Conditions include ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, seizures and status epilepticus, encephalopathy, neurotrauma, neuromuscular disorders and post-operative neurosurgical care.

Required:

ACNP certification or PA-C; active Texas APRN or PA license, or eligibility; DEA registration or eligibility; current BLS; at least 2 years of inpatient acute care experience.

Preferred: neuro ICU, stroke or neurocritical care experience; inpatient neurology or neuro hospitalist experience; neurosurgery ICU or hospitalist experience with neurological patients; NIHSS, ENLS or other neuro certification.

Schedule:

Full-time, 7 days on / 7 days off, 12-hour shifts. Pay: $140,000–$200,000+ a year, depending on neuro and inpatient experience.
