Koddi is seeking a Platform Engineering Manager to lead a team dedicated to cloud infrastructure, reliability, and delivery. This is a management-first role where your focus will be on setting clear weekly goals, unblocking engineers, and ensuring steady, predictable execution.
Beyond delivery, you’ll play a critical role in mentoring and developing your team, fostering strong relationships, and creating an environment where engineers can thrive and grow professionally. You’ll partner closely with our Director of Infrastructure on priorities and long-term objectives, while collaborating with engineering leads, stakeholders, and the product team. Your role is to keep the team aligned, minimize bottlenecks, and accelerate progress toward business outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a quick, precise leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, has an execution-driven mindset with a strong bias for action, and excels at turning ambiguity into clear, actionable plans all while building trust and empowering their team to reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do- Set clear weekly milestones, hold the team accountable, and provide reminders and follow-ups.
- Drive execution by unblocking engineers, reducing bottlenecks, and keeping projects on track.
- Partner with the VP of Infrastructure on goals, priorities, and shifting milestones.
- Communicate progress concisely to engineering leads, stakeholders and Product.
- Own delivery timelines, surface risks early, and ensure corrective actions are taken quickly.
- Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
- Build strong team relationships that foster trust, accountability, and long-term success.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a Dev Ops/Platform/SRE role.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience managing and motivating engineering teams in a Dev Ops/Platform/SRE role.
- Strong experience with cloud technologies including auto-scaling and load balancing (EC2, VMs, etc.).
- Cloud storage (S3, BLOB, etc.).
- Container services (ECS, Kubernetes services such as EKS, etc.).
- IAM and VPCs.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results under pressure with an execution-focused style.
- Ability to turn ambiguity into actionable plans with clear owners, dates, and milestones.
- Experience providing feedback to leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Exceptional communicator who adapts style to executives, peers, and engineers.
- Skilled at building team culture, developing talent, and guiding engineers’ professional growth.
