Lead Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end release management for web, desktop, and microservice applications—branching strategy, versioning, release trains, notes, and go/no-go coordination.
• Oversee code quality and PR governance across Python, C#, and Type Script; enforce testing, security, and performance standards.
• Provide architectural direction for services, APIs, data pipelines, and integrations; ensure scalability, reliability, and observability.
• Contribute hands‑on code (30–50%) across backend services, infrastructure automation, and front‑end components.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security scanning, artifact promotion, and progressive delivery.
• Define SLOs/SLIs, instrument systems, build dashboards/alerts, and lead incident response and post‑mortems.
• Manage release workflows that include software, data, and model artifacts; ensure validation and version control.
• Drive security‑by‑design, supply‑chain security, secrets management, and auditability.
• Collaborate with engineering, ML, and simulation teams; align with Product/Program Management on scope and milestones.
• Mentor engineers and maintain key documentation (architecture diagrams, runbooks, release playbooks).

• Experience leading multi‑service releases and teams while staying hands‑on.
• Full‑stack depth across front‑end SPAs/desktop apps and backend services.
• Strong Dev Ops skills for CI/CD, containers, and cloud/on‑prem deployments.
• Proficiency with data schemas, integrations, migrations, and versioning.
• Ability to align cross‑functional teams and manage scope/risks.
• Travel as needed.

• REST, OAuth2/OIDC, gRPC/event‑driven patterns, contract testing.
• Git workflows, PR standards, CODEOWNERS, quality gates.
• Unit/integration/E2E testing, pipeline automation, security scanning.
