Site Reliability Engineer – Database Services

Pay Rate: Up to $65/hr.
Contract: 12-month contract with possible extension.

Base Pay Range: $/yr - $/yr.

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer – Database Services to support Toyota Financial Services’ enterprise database platforms. In this role, you will focus on automation, database health, incident prevention, and optimizing performance across Oracle and Exadata environments.

• Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of database systems
• Automate database processes and build self-healing solutions
• Perform Oracle & Exadata administration, tuning, backups, and recovery
• Implement SRE standards for incident response, SLIs, SLOs, and monitoring
• Support modernization of database platforms across cloud and on-prem systems
• Enhance observability and proactive monitoring tools

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
• 5+ years hands-on Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c) experience
• Proficiency with RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM
• Knowledge of MS SQL Server administration & T-SQL tuning
• Automation scripting (Python preferred)
• Experience with observability tools (Dynatrace preferred)
• Strong understanding of SRE practices (SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, incident prevention)

• Experience with RDS, Postgres, DynamoDB
• ITIL Foundation, Oracle DB, or AWS certifications
