OverviewA top-tier retail services leader, specializing in merchandising, inventory management, and promotional execution across dynamic retail sectors, is searching for its Director of Analytics!
Background: Senior Manager of Analytics will inspire and lead a team of BI experts, Data Scientists, and Analytics professionals to deliver cutting‑edge insights. Your leadership will drive advanced analytics, empowering retail clients to make impactful, data‑driven decisions that shape their success.
What You Will Do- Define the vision for the Analytics department by mentoring the team to deliver high-quality analytics and strategic insights to retail clients.
- Collaborate with retail clients to identify opportunities where Analytics can enhance revenues by optimizing merchandise displays, forecasting customer demand, refining product mix strategies, improving labor planning for field operations, and streamlining inventory management.
- Ensure timely, accurate dashboards delivering critical insights on trends across retailers, categories, and markets.
- Passionate about data and storytelling, leveraging analytics to influence senior leadership on strategic decisions that benefit clients.
- Stay updated on analytics trends to benefit the organization and lead digital transformation, advocating for the Analytics team in EDW, AI, data transformation, and BI.
- Establish a framework to ensure accurate data for BI, descriptive analytics, and Data Science modeling.
- Dynamic role blending strategic vision, thought leadership, and impactful people management.
- As a leader, being hands‑on is not just appreciated, it’s a game‑changing advantage!
- This is a full‑time, in‑office role based in the DFW area, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Strong retail analytics expertise is essential, including forecasting, A/B testing, demand planning, margin optimization, pricing, merchandising, labor optimization, shelf analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and BI.
- Management experience and a strong executive presence are essential for driving strategic retail decisions through analytics.
- Prior hands‑on experience with tools like: SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Alterxy is highly desired.
- Strong verbal communication, client presentation, project management, and prioritization skills required.
