RP is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to act as a Technical Program Manager with experience running multiple highly technical engineering teams to deliver low-level (C++) custom applications. The candidate should be able to deliver both technical and project management activities, have release experience delivering at least three large custom applications through all SDLC phases in a cloud environment, and operate effectively in an Agile-like approach within Fixed Firm Price contract types in highly technical environments.
The role requires comfort presenting to client executives and leadership, and the ability to explain nuances of application code and technical decisions.
- 7+ years of experience delivering software products into a production environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with technical leadership and risk management.
- Strong proficiency in C++ development, with experience designing, coding, testing, and maintaining robust software applications.
- Hands-on experience managing on-premise hardware
, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical servers and network infrastructure. - Proven expertise deploying applications using VMware-based solutions like vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter Server.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing cloud-native solutions using AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless computing.
- 3+ years working within an Agile delivery model in Firm Fixed Price, Milestone-based delivery with an advanced understanding of Agile.
- 2+ years managing/overseeing technical delivery teams.
- 0.5+ years working with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) or similar goal-setting frameworks.
Location: Project is based in Arlington, VA and onsite co-location is expected 3 days a week.
Clearance: Start date commences upon adjudication of a TSA public trust clearance.
Very strong written and oral communication skillset. High degree of communication needed with clients and stakeholders.
