Senior Network and Systems Administrator

Requirements

• High School diploma with 9 years of experience in systems administration, or equivalent experience.
• Current Secret clearance.

• I ensure the seamless functioning of computer systems, including operating systems, software, and hardware, whether in networked or standalone setups. My role includes maintaining system integrity and upgrading systems and servers as needed.
• I may design and document new methodologies that support network and system operations and implement procedural changes when necessary.
• I collaborate with support teams, help desks, customers, and other technical staff to resolve issues, coordinating and performing operational and maintenance tasks for networks and servers. I identify recurring issues and propose strategies to mitigate their frequency or severity.
• I plan for the transition of development and/or production environments to new technologies, utilizing system software to monitor system file performance and manage system data for optimal performance.
• I maintain and administer computer networks and associated computing environments, encompassing hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
• I am responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing network and system security measures to safeguard data, software, and hardware.
• I regularly monitor and analyze both short-term and long-term planning for in-house systems.
• I ensure that appropriate documentation exists, including operational instructions, and I may write or modify basic scripts to address performance issues and automate administrative tasks.
• I recommend changes to enhance system and network configurations, determining both hardware and software requirements for such modifications.

The pay range for this position typically falls between USD $94,150.00 and USD $ per year, subject to factors such as market location, experience, and qualifications.
