Position Summary
IDS is seeking a highly experienced Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Systems Specialist to support advanced missile defense operations. The selected candidate will provide expert-level monitoring, maintenance oversight, training, and operational support for AMD systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and mission readiness.
This role requires extensive hands-on experience with U.S. Army THAAD and Patriot systems
, along with the ability to mentor, evaluate, and support military personnel at the battery, battalion, and brigade levels.
Monitor the Air and Missile Defense (AMD) system and all associated support equipment to prevent, detect, diagnose, and resolve operator errors or system malfunctions.
Provide technical oversight and hands-on support for system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities
.Serve as a coach, instructor, and mentor to Soldiers, providing guidance on proper AMD system operation and maintenance procedures.
Evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance programs at the battery, battalion, and brigade levels and recommend improvements where necessary.
Manage the proper use, accountability, and care of special tools and support equipment required for AMD system maintenance.
Monitor, coordinate, and support the installation and implementation of system modifications and upgrades
.Ensure strict compliance with all safety, security, and operational procedures related to AMD system operation and maintenance.
Support mission readiness by ensuring systems remain fully operational and aligned with operational requirements.
Prior service in a position providing experience as an Electronic Missile Maintenance Officer (EMMO) at a U.S. THAAD Battery
.A minimum of five (5) years of experience as MOS 140L in a U.S. Army Patriot Battalion or THAAD Battery
.Must have at least two (2) years of direct experience serving in a U.S. Army THAAD Battery
.Ability to effectively train, mentor, and evaluate military personnel.
Strong understanding of AMD system maintenance, diagnostics, and operational safety requirements.
Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance

Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight
