Project Manager
Job description: The Construction Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames. This position will ensure that multiple projects will be completed simultaneously in various locations by overseeing multiple teams of Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers.
Responsibilities- Plan for large-scale, multi‑step projects.
- Select subcontractors and materials through a bidding process in alignment with owners.
- Communicate efficiently with subcontractors, owners, and team members regarding actions, expectations, and follow‑up.
- Understand construction methodologies, read blueprints, and grasp other technical aspects of construction.
- Ensure project deadlines are met and work progresses smoothly.
- Review project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding limitations, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocations.
- Establish work plans and schedules and coordinate completion through subcontractors and the project superintendent.
- Maintain project budget and approve all project billings and change orders.
- Review status reports, modify schedules or plans as needed, and prepare reports for management or client.
- Consult with estimating and accounting personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
- Coordinate project activities.
- B.S. or B.A. in Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Manager.
- Ability to direct / manage projects exceeding $15 M.
- Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, estimating, and project management programs.
- Experience completing projects in joint venture work (preferred).
- Meticulous experience in maintaining budgets, approving billings, and managing change orders.
Job type: Full-time
Salary: $70,000 – $95,000 per year
