Our client is a high-growth specialty contractor generating over $1.1B in revenue, providing construction and maintenance services to commercial and industrial sectors nationwide, including data centers and chip manufacturing plants. With a family of operating companies that enhance technical capabilities and geographic reach, we are seeking a dynamic Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead our people strategy.

Role Overview:
The Chief People Officer will be pivotal in shaping a world-class people strategy that drives growth, strengthens culture, and develops leaders at all levels. This role demands a strategic thinker who is also hands‑on. The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO and be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement an enterprise-level HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Culture Building: Foster a strong company culture that promotes engagement, diversity, and excellence.
  • Leadership Development: Design and execute programs to identify, nurture, and develop leadership talent across the organization.
  • Succession Planning: Create robust succession plans to ensure leadership continuity at all levels.
  • Organizational Design: Lead efforts to optimize organizational structure and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Learning & Development: Implement comprehensive training and development initiatives to upskill employees and improve performance.
Qualifications
  • Proven success in leading HR functions for organizations with approximately 750 to 10,000 employees. The majority of which must have been in field-based environments within industrial and commercial sectors.
  • Extensive experience in leadership development, succession planning, organizational design, learning & development, and M&A integration.
  • Strong strategic acumen with the ability to influence and collaborate with executive leadership.
  • Hands‑on approach with a willingness to engage directly with operations and employees.
