The Regional Division Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all operational functions within the Division, including project management operations, field operations, estimating, scheduling, warehousing, onboarding, permitting, and office management. This role ensures seamless coordination, communication, and efficiency across all teams.
The Regional Division Manager partners closely with key stakeholders including Safety, QAQC, Talent Acquisition, Purchasing, Accounting, IT, Business Development, Prefab, and BIM to drive safe project execution, quality assurance, and operational excellence. This role also provides mentorship and career development support to personnel across the Division, contributing to long‑term organizational growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Oversees and manages processes, staff, and resources to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and successful project execution within the division.
- Develops and implements best practices for project management, resource allocation, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
- Fosters a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and collaboration across all teams.
- Provides mentorship, coaching, and development to all managers within the division.
- Coordinates with preconstruction, procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Establishes, tracks, and analyzes labor performance metrics, KPIs, and division goals.
- Monitors project milestones and adjusts schedules or plans as required, documenting delays and notifying general contractors in accordance with contract terms.
- Reviews contracts prior to final execution and participates in hiring decisions for the division.
- Attends project meetings, job start‑ups, and lessons‑learned reviews to ensure alignment across all phases of work.
- Leads regular meetings with all department managers within the division to maintain communication and alignment.
- Makes daily operational decisions and resolves issues to keep projects on track.
- Stays current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to drive operational excellence.
- Ensures compliance with all local and state codes, permitting requirements, lien laws, and regulatory standards.
- Coordinates with the corporate estimating team and local estimators to prepare and submit budgets, estimates, and bids.
- Manages the division’s client and vendor relationships, ensuring strong service and partnership.
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive experience in electrical construction operations, including three (3) to five (5) years in a supervisory or management role.
