* * Reads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications.
* Understands measurement precision, measurement accuracy & measurement uncertainty.
* Experienced using standard measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, & height gages.
* Experienced in interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
* Identifies and reports nonconforming materials.
* Understands and applies calibration intervals to inspection tools and equipment.
* Understands disposition methods including rework/repair, re-inspect, scrap, and customer waiver, as determined by a Material Review Board (MRB) or other authority.
* Supports internal manufacturing and external source inspection of products.
* Familiar with national and international standards (ISO
9001, AS9100, IPC
610, IPC
620) and customer requirements as authorities that support processes and procedures used to ensure quality products.
* Familiar with Inspection of welds and compliance with internal weld qualifications.
* Attends training and continuous professional development events.
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role at the discretion of the Manager.
** Qualifications and Education Requirements*
* * High-school diploma or GED
* Knowledge of First Article Inspection procedures
* Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Attention to detail with importance placed on follow-up / follow-through
* Ability to work independently and prioritize the work while responding to changing priorities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
** Preferred Skills*
* * 4-6 years’ experience in inspection and testing of incoming and manufactured products;
Computational assemblies, subassemblies, cables, circuit cards, machined parts, optics, coatings/finishes and other materials to ensure compliance to drawings, schematics, and specification requirements
* Experience with precision measuring equipment
* Certified Weld Inspector
* Experience with data analysis and statistical tools
* ASQ Certified Quality Inspector certification
* Higher Education in Electronics, Mechanical Design, Computer Science
