Job SummaryPumps & Controls is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Production Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling mechanical and electro‑mechanical components, sub‑assemblies, and final products according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. The position is based in Arlington, TX and operates on a 2nd shift (2:00 p – 10:00 p). It is a full‑time, entry‑level role.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble pumps, systems, or control panels using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Follow standardized procedures and production guidelines to ensure product consistency and quality.
- Perform inspections and tests to verify proper fit, function, and quality of components and finished assemblies.
- Identify and report any defective parts, errors in assembly instructions, or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
- Support inventory control by accurately using parts and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with team members, quality control, and engineering to resolve issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement and training efforts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, instructions, and part numbers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry parts or equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Dependable with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is a plus.
