Position:
Material Handler
Location: Arlington, TX
Schedule: 6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM (2-2-3 Rotating Schedule)
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of recent sit-down gas/propane forklift experience
- 1+ year of recent clamp truck experience
- 1+ year of experience supporting inbound receiving, outbound shipping, material movement, and inventory transactions
- 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- 1+ year of inventory control experience
- High School Diploma or GED
Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor and or Department Supervisor the Material Handler maintains distribution of materials between the production floor and inventory; loading and unloading; delivering production materials and supplies to production floor; staging finished product in designated inventory location; general housekeeping in accordance with Pregis policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, organized, and FIFO (First In, First Out) controlled warehouse in accordance with Pregis best practices.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by identifying, storing, and tracking materials and supplies.
- Prepare finished goods for shipment by identifying, pulling, and securing product in designated locations.
- Support inbound receiving, outbound shipping, and material movement throughout the facility.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to take coaching and feedback positively.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members during shift transitions.
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with Inventory Control or Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., SAP).
- Experience in packaging, plastics, or relate
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- Exposure to moving equipment and machinery.
- Temperatures may exceed 90°F.
- Humidity may exceed 80%.
- Noise levels may exceed 85 dB.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, and stooping.
- Frequent operation of forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling.
