Shift: 40 hours guaranteed in straight time per week, call will be Thursday and Friday 7 a.m.

- 7 p.m. and 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday

• As an Operating Room (OR) On-Call team member, you are responsible for being readily available outside of regular working hours to provide immediate support during urgent or emergency surgical procedures. This role requires quick response times, clinical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes.

• You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologist, and other healthcare professionals to prepare the OR, assist during surgeries, and help with post operative care as needed. Being on call demands strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering high quality care at all hours.

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery

• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process

• Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification

• Participate in surgical site verification, including briefing, time out, debriefing, and universal protocols, according to hospital policy

• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while managing evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives

• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team – consisting of the provider(s), surgeons, surgical technologists and more
