As an Anesthesia Technician, you will work closely with the anesthesia team and surgical staff to help every procedure go safely and smoothly. You will play a key role in keeping equipment ready, supporting patient care, and helping create a safe, comfortable environment throughout the surgical journey.

• Responsible for procurement, maintenance, availability of supplies and equipment pertaining to anesthesia
• Assists professional nursing staff and anesthesiologists during intubation and extubation phases of anesthesia
• Assists in preparation and placement of special invasive and non-invasive lines/procedures
• Provides room turnover for anesthesia and in any other areas as time and skill allows
• Provides call coverage as needed.
• Transports and handles non-controlled medications only.
• Operates specialty equipment such as Cell Saver, GEM
  4000 and Hepcon analyzers.
• Authorized to access secure drug and biological storage areas when completing a medication management orientation and when necessary to perform, the assigned duties.
• Preparing and organizing anesthesia equipment and supplies by reviewing surgery schedules and planning for what the team will need
• Setting up, transporting, and maintaining anesthesia carts and equipment to keep all supplies clean and ready for safe use
• Helping patients by assisting with transfers, positioning, preparation, and applying non-invasive monitoring devices
• Acting quickly and confidently if an emergency happens
• Keeping the environment clean and safe by following infection prevention and safety practices
• Speaking openly with patients, families, and your team, always protecting patient privacy and advocating for patient rights

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
