SEASONAL PRN

Guidelines for Seasonal RN & Clinical Tech Staffing

Program runs from September 21, 2025 to April 4, 2026

62.00 HR

• All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
• Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
• Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4 week schedule period.
• During the course of the 32‑week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee).
• Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call‑off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.
• Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.
• Seasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses (D1/CND or D2/ECD).
• Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
• Current employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2025–26.
• Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program.
• Shifts may vary based on the needs of the department.

The NICU Registered Nurse delivers professional nursing care to all patients in NICU. You will perform assessment and acuity assignment; follows standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Daily assignment of an RN may include supervision of other nursing personnel and/or students. Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse.

The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• 1+ year in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Required
• 2+ Year's in an Acute Care NICU preferred
