Millwood Hospital (a UHS Facility) is a 134‑bed mental health facility that provides inpatient and outpatient mental health and chemical dependency treatment. The Utilization Review Coordinator: The UR is responsible for conducting external reviews, maintaining documentation, and participating actively in the treatment team to facilitate communication. The coordinator provides concise reporting of clinical criteria to payors in a professional, non‑judgmental manner; interprets clinical data to determine appropriate level of care; conducts daily census meetings; and assists with clinical programming as requested.

Qualifications

Education: RN, LVN or Master’s degree in another human relations field.

Licensure: RN, LMSW, LPC, LVN preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in utilization review with customer contact preferred.

Additional Requirements: Working knowledge of the Mental Status Exam, Addiction and Recovery field, and insurance criteria for various levels of care. CPI and CPR in accordance with New Hire policy must be completed prior to providing direct care.
