American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent med/surg or acute care experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

• 30-bed Med/Surg unit (3 Tower)
• Day shift team includes 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, 2 PCTs, 1 HUC, and 1-3 sitters depending on census
• Night shift staffing mirrors days with 1 charge nurse, 4-5 RNs, 2 PCTs, and 1-3 sitters based on patient population
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Uses Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady lifts, and bladder scanners
• Charting completed in Meditech
• 12-hour shifts from 7A-7P
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required based on hospital needs

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide care for post-surgical patients including cholecystectomy and cystoscopy with stent placement cases
• Support pain management and CIWA patient care
• Best suited for fast-paced, outgoing, and high-energy individuals
• Previous HCA experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted
