Creature Comfort Animal Clinic is a 4-doctor practice with a pension for building friendships with clients and teammates alike. We value open communication, have a team mindset, and have doctors who love to teach. Our clinic tends to see companion animals the most, but we don t shy away from pocket pets and other exotics, as we have 2 doctors who see exotics.

Externs will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creation of treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and medical management of patients. In addition to practicing their clinical skills, student externs will have the opportunity to practice their communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

• Work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and medical management of patients.
• Practice communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

• 4th-year veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education; eligible for externships.
• Externship duration typically two to eight weeks; scheduling with the hospital.
• Eligible for a travel/living expense stipend (up to $2,500).
• Interest in companion animals; two doctors see exotics; experience with exotics is a plus.

• Travel stipend up to $2,500 for Clinical Year Externships.
