Quality Manager
A leading, high-volume manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead plant-level quality strategy, systems, and execution. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations while serving as a key partner to Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on quality leader with deep experience in automotive manufacturing, strong customer‑facing capabilities, and a proven track record of driving quality performance in complex production environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and maintain the plant Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949
, ISO 9001
, and customer‑specific requirements - Own plant quality KPIs including PPM, scrap, rework, warranty, and customer scorecards
- Serve as the primary quality interface for OEM and Tier‑1 customers, including audits, launches, and issue resolution
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methodologies (8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone, etc.)
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure robust process controls and continuous improvement
- Lead internal and external audits, including customer, third‑party, and internal system audits
- Support new product launches through APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plan development
- Manage, coach, and develop the quality team (quality engineers, technicians, inspectors)
- Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence throughout the plant
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline
- 8–12+ years of quality leadership experience in automotive or high‑volume manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949
, Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA), and customer requirements - Experience managing customer relationships and leading quality responses at a senior level
- Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross‑functional partners, and drive change
- Hands‑on, data‑driven, and comfortable in a fast‑paced production environment
