Cook - Lockhart Smokehouse at Live! Hospitality & Entertainment

Located at Texas Live!, the third location of the brand, you will serve guests with Lockhart traditions such as Kreuz Market sausage, brisket, ribs, and other Texas‑smoked meats, along with Texas brews on draft and specialty cocktails.

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
• Restock items as needed throughout the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed state and local Health Board inspection and company requirements.
• Maintain a clean, neat and well‑organized work area, including reach‑ins, walk‑ins and counters.
• Report all unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• May assist by performing ware washer or other kitchen duties as needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments; may occasionally interact directly with guests.
• Perform more than one task simultaneously.

• At least one year of experience in a fast‑paced kitchen line and food preparation.
• Culinary certification preferred.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking, following recipes, portion control, and presentation.
• Excellent communication skills when interacting with other cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
• Reading and writing abilities for preparing meals from a recipe and assisting in scheduling kitchen staff, and monitoring inventory.
• Mathematical skills including basic math, percentages, quantities, and variances.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state agency.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

• Carry or lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Stand and move around the kitchen safely and efficiently.
• Handle food, objects, products and utensils.
• Bend, stoop, kneel as needed.
