The Access Control and Security Business Account Executive is responsible for driving sales of physical security systems, including surveillance cameras and access control solutions. This role involves both new customer acquisition and support for existing clients, offering a comprehensive range of products tailored to meet specific security needs. Successful representatives will be skilled communicators and presenters who can find the best fit between client and product.
The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated, organized, passionate about client needs, and focused on enhancing the buyer’s experience. Compensation includes a base salary, generous commission structure, auto and gas allowance, cell phone allowance, and expense reimbursement.
- Lead Generation: Identify and research potential business opportunities through various channels such as market research, networking, and lead generation tools.
- Prospecting: Reach out to prospective clients via phone, email, and social media to introduce our products and services and generate interest.
- Qualification: Identify client pain points and propose comprehensive security solutions that may include access control systems, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and related products and services.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and potential customers; understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions by conducting site evaluations.
- Meeting Scheduling: Arrange meetings, demos, and calls between prospective clients and the sales team to further discuss their needs and our solutions.
- Market Insights: Stay up‑to‑date on the latest access control and security technologies, products, and services to effectively communicate their benefits to clients.
- Sales Process: Create detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts for clients, outlining the scope of work, pricing, and terms and conditions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on messaging, strategy, and lead nurturing efforts.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of lead interactions, pipeline status, and sales activities; provide regular reports on sales forecasts and market feedback.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, engineering, marketing, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence prospects and clients.
- Basic understanding of sales principles and the ability to identify and qualify potential business opportunities.
- Ability to understand client needs and handle the negotiation process.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Self‑motivated and goal‑oriented with a drive to achieve and exceed targets.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated resilience and the ability to handle rejection and setbacks constructively.
- Collaborative attitude and the ability to work well with cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar office productivity tools.
- Must be highly competitive, ramp quickly, extremely adaptive, and pride yourself on exceeding production goals.
- At least 6-10 years of experience in technology sales.
- Previous experience in access and control systems.
- Experience in telecom, MSP, or the security industry.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and the ability to manage and track leads effectively.
