About

the Role

This Sales Manager role will represent The Rustic & Joe Leo in the Dallas Market. The Event Sales Manager plays a key role in driving revenue growth by generating private event sales through a combination of inbound leads and proactive outreach, including leveraging their own network of contacts. This position is primarily responsible for managing all incoming private event inquiries for Joe Leo, as well as incoming leads for The Rustic for events hosting fewer than 50 guests.

These events represent the foundation of our private event business, smaller in size but high in volume, and are essential to our overall success. The Event Sales Manager will serve as a dedicated point of contact, delivering a remarkable guest experience throughout the contracting and planning process. This role is based out of the Free Range Concepts corporate office and reports directly to the Director of Sales.

What

You’ll Do
  • Drive event sales by meeting revenue goals through proactive outreach to new and existing clients
  • Execute outbound sales efforts, including calls, site visits, and networking events
  • Respond to inquiries, manage bookings, and prepare proposals, contracts, and event orders
  • Maintain accurate client and prospect data in Tripleseat, Social Tables, and Open Table
  • Host client meetings and site tours at The Rustic and Joe Leo
  • Analyze sales performance and conduct bi-annual competitive market reviews
  • Partner with marketing to support venue promotions and sales initiatives
  • Collaborate with operations and culinary teams to ensure seamless event execution
  • Communicate event details through meetings and timely BEO distribution
  • Oversee post-event reconciliation, invoicing, and client follow-up
  • Uphold health and safety standards and support additional business needs as required
Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience in hospitality event-specific sales and/or management (restaurant/venue sales preferred).

  • Proven ability to meet financial goals and analyze sales performance to drive results
  • Experience in event sales, event operations, or hospitality sales
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with a track record of client prospecting, presentations, and networking
  • Polished, professional presence when interacting with guests, partners, and team members
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotional strategies that support sales growth
  • Self‑motivated, creative, and highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment with a strong sense of urgency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to consistently represent and demonstrate our mission:
