Key Account Manager, Dallas-Class B at Johnson Brothers

Johnson Brothers has merged with Maverick Beverage Company and now operates across Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and Florida, offering exceptional wine and spirits. The Key Account Manager will develop sales for key accounts in the assigned territory, securing new business and maintaining high service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Personally call on accounts in the assigned geographic territory to promote Victory’s portfolio.
  • Prospect and open new accounts.
  • Anticipate and evaluate customer needs and suggest products accordingly.
  • Develop sales and product knowledge to educate and taste accounts on products.
  • Regularly meet and exceed sales goals and quotas.
  • Exhibit strong business acumen to protect the interests of Johnson Brothers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Manage time effectively to meet order deadlines and delivery dates/cutoffs.
  • Communicate professionally with buyers to resolve issues promptly.
  • Demonstrate leadership and entrepreneurial qualities.
  • Attend and participate in regular team sales meetings.
  • Speak publicly about products, events, or at staff trainings or other promotional events.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and current, valid state driver’s license.
  • Possess wine knowledge, distribution, and sales experience (highly preferred).
  • Ensure accounts are current on payments and assist with collections when necessary.
  • Organize supplier market work and communicate with suppliers before, during, and after all market work.
  • Treat all employees, management, vendors, and customers with respect at all times.
  • Respond to buyer requests and inquiries with urgency and timeliness.
  • May work nights and weekends on promotions and other account activities.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to travel within established geographic areas as necessary.
  • Must have reliable transportation, hold a valid driver’s license, and meet company driving record & insurance requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required;
    Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong persuasive presentation skills; ability to speak before large audiences.
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Background or experience in the beverage or restaurant/bar industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverage industry, including wine and spirits terms, production process techniques.
  • Passion for wine and spirits and ability to continuously learn new brands.
  • Physical ability to lift 25‑50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; auto insurance coverage meets company and state requirements.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment to sell alcohol in Texas.
  • Demonstrate courtesy, respect, and professionalism to coworkers, customers, and others in contact with the role.
