Job Overview
Tier One Holdings, a leading provider of public safety services to Texas school districts, is actively recruiting Armed School Resource Officers (SROs) for the upcoming 2025–2026 academic year. This mission-driven role is ideal for qualified officers seeking consistent daytime hours, weekends off, and the opportunity to positively impact school safety.
Under the indirect supervision of the School Security Sergeant, officers perform duties involved in the enforcement of laws, prevention of crimes, and maintaining the security of the school campus, students, faculty, and visitors. They serve as liaisons between school administration, law enforcement agencies, and the public, foster relationships with students and families, manage visitor check‑ins, monitor camera systems, deliver classroom presentations, coordinate emergency drills, provide support during emergencies, and perform technical and administrative tasks to support security services.
With over 200 years of law enforcement and military training, the Tier One leadership team develops comprehensive security strategies for school campuses, faith‑based organizations, and vulnerable communities.
- This is a school‑year position running from August through May.
- Officers are off on weekends, district holidays, and during summer break unless otherwise assigned.
- Additional paid opportunities may be available for summer school coverage or special event assignments through Tier One.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Ability to handle physical workload.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to conduct a physical fitness assessment.
- Must be capable of passing a background check.
- 21 years of age.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, possible weekends and nights, some holidays, and/or in emergency situations.
- May be required to work beyond normal hours, including extracurricular activities and emergencies.
- Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors, may be exposed to inclement weather, must be able to walk, run, climb, crawl, sit or stand for extended periods and perform all activities faced by emergency first responders.
- Ability to investigate suspicious circumstances, physically restrain parties, may be exposed to violent or armed confrontations and routine exposure to blood or body fluids.
- Must demonstrate critical thinking skills, effectively communicate with staff, students, families, and law enforcement professionals; extensive verbal and written communications required; manage witnesses when handling incidents; use sound judgment and work with everyone.
- Required basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and other office software platforms such as incident reporting software.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Serve as an armed School Resource Officer during regular school hours, Monday through Friday.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and community members while maintaining a secure and professional presence.
- Assist with emergency response protocols, campus patrols, and incident reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with school administrators and Tier One supervisors to ensure a safe learning environment.
- Serve as an armed School Resource Officer during regular school hours, Monday through Friday.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and community members while maintaining a secure and professional presence.
- Assist with emergency response protocols, campus patrols, and incident reporting as needed.
- Collaborate with school administrators and Tier One supervisors to ensure a safe learning environment.

Starting pay is $20/hr.
