Job Summary
Arete Res is seeking a results‑driven Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to support operations at a multifamily residential community in TX. The role requires strong technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and pool operations, as well as the ability to lead and train the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities- Support daily maintenance operations, ensuring the property is maintained to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance.
- Perform and oversee repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance maintenance.
- Maintain CPO certification; oversee pool/spa compliance with health department standards.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for building systems, equipment, and common areas.
- Ensure vacant units are made market‑ready within established time frames, including inspections and final walkthroughs.
- Respond promptly to resident service requests and complete work orders in a timely manner.
- Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours emergency maintenance.
- Assist with vendor and budget management, including contract oversight and inventory tracking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance shop, equipment rooms, and storage areas.
- Assist with maintaining compliance documents, inspections, warranties, and inventory records.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.
- EPA HVAC certification required.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years multifamily maintenance experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and on‑call shifts as required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Familiarity with OSHA standards and safe handling of cleaning supplies.
