Circle is a financial technology company at the epicenter of the emerging internet of money. Our infrastructure, including USDC, helps businesses harness blockchain‑based solutions. The Site Reliability Engineer supports our development of reliable, secure APIs and scalable microservices.

USD $147,500 - $195,000 per year

The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining Circle’s common libraries and infrastructure to support rapid software development.

Duties include:

• Building and owning scalable microservices that provide reliable and secure APIs.
• Improving software shipping experience and iteration speed in collaboration with SRE and engineering teams.
• Developing and documenting system design, testing procedures, and quality standards.
• Troubleshooting program and system malfunctions to restore normal functioning.
• Writing infrastructure to deliver great developer experiences and internal platform capabilities.

• 2‑4 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong foundation in object‑oriented programming, preferably Java or Golang.
• Hands‑on experience with major cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Proficient with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Skilled in SQL database design and query optimization.
• Experience deploying and operating production‑quality, scalable software.
• Emphasis on clean, maintainable code with high test coverage.
• Adaptable and quick learner, comfortable exploring new languages and frameworks.
• Computer Science degree or related field.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote teams.
• Growth mindset, self‑motivated, and thrives in fast‑paced environments.
