We work on creating cutting edge cloud software to support the Department of Defense. Our software teams work in an agile collaborative environment where each scrum team is composed of 5 to 10 developers. Our software architecture is based on micro services which heavily utilizes Docker. We have multiple projects that either focus on creating synthetic environments, training, or mission planning and awareness.
We use different technologies/programming languages due to our micro service architecture, because of this we look for candidates that have a strong desire to keep learning and advancing their skills. In order to support this continuous learning, we provide a number of resources to foster this as well as providing the training time.
- Strong coder with demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, JavaScript, Java.
- Strong coder with demonstrated proficiency in programming languages, such as C#, Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Must be eligible for Secret DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- Participate in the development of algorithms for new product concepts.
- Develop and research ideas for possible R&D projects.
- Passion to develop cutting edge software to solve complex problems for the Department of Defense.
- Desire to develop innovative software for various R&D projects.
- Responsible for software planning, design, planning, prototyping, execution, and deployment of new features.
- Capable of mentoring and aiding junior software developers.
- Must have a strong interest in the creation of new products.
- Must be able to collaborate and perform effectively as part of a project team.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, software, or computer science.
- Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience or a master’s degree in engineering or computer science with 3 years of software engineering experience.
- Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
- Working with RESTful APIs such as Flask, Node.js, or C# ASP .Net.
- Experience creating web applications using frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Familiarity working with geospatial data using GDAL, Geoserver, Open Layers, Leaflet, or Cesium.
- Experience in working with SQL/No
SQL database systems such as MySQL, Mongo
DB or Elasticsearch. - Experience with container runtime environments such as Docker and container-orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with Kafka and Rabbit
MQ. - Deploying software to cloud platforms using containerized software modules in Dev Sec Ops pipelines.
- Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
- Duties performed in an office environment and manufacturing facility.
- Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.
- The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.
- May be required to sit down for long lengths of time.
- May be required to climb stairs.
- Must be able to travel periodically to customer locations CONUS and to International sites.
