Staff Accountant

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases and payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage employee expense reimbursements.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls around purchasing and payments.

• Generate and send customer invoices.
• Track incoming payments and apply to the correct accounts.
• Follow up on past due invoices and manage collections process.
• Work with sales and client teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain aging reports and provide regular updates to management.

• Support monthly close process by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of financial reports and documentation for audits.
• Work with external accountants or advisors as needed.
• Maintain digital filing systems and accurate recordkeeping.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally with A/P and A/R.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books).
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with cloud-based tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working at a Republican based firm

• Experience in a media, production, or creative industry environment.
• Familiarity with project-based or client-based accounting structures.
• Prior experience handling 1099 vendors or media-specific billing formats.
