The Donor Communications and Stewardship Coordinator provides critical administrative, operations and communications support for the Donor Communications and Stewardship (DCS) department and The Nature Conservancy’s Global Development Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe Donor Communications and Stewardship Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks in support of the Donor Communications and Stewardship team, which may include booking domestic and international travel, processing expenses and scheduling complex, multi-participant meetings. This role will also provide critical operations support for the larger DCS department, helping to track deadlines and gather data for reporting on strategic priorities, producing communications and other materials, maintaining internal team resources and managing logistics and implementation for departmental meetings, retreats and special projects.
The DCS Coordinator will support internal communications for the entire Global Development Division of 700+ fundraising staff and mine content for donor communications and stewardship touchpoints. They will have the opportunity to work with staff across the Conservancy and build project management skills by coordinating activities with multiple variables, setting realistic deadlines and managing timelines. They will apply established processes and practices and help identify ways to improve effectiveness and engagement.
The Coordinator will communicate on behalf of their supervisor with staff in various programs, as well as with vendors, volunteers and partners. They will provide other staff with the information they need to make decisions and to solve problems. The position reports to the Program Project Manager for the Donor Communications and Stewardship department.
- Does not supervise any staff, but may supervise volunteers, interns, or temporary staff;
- Perform duties under general supervision and established guidelines;
- Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information;
- Financial responsibility may include working within a budget, purchasing, processing invoices, contracting with vendors, and assisting with budget tracking;
- Identify routine problems and utilize existing resources for resolution, referring difficult questions and problems to supervisor;
- Make day-to-day decisions within the scope of work assignments and prioritize work independently;
- Serve as a team member for assigned projects;
- Work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain; and
- Work overtime as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree and 1-year experience or equivalent combination;
- Experience writing, editing, and proofreading;
- Experience organizing time and managing diverse activities to meet deadlines; and
- Experience working and communicating with a wide range of people.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
