Overview
Enlist as a soldier into the United States Army and become a Bridge Crew member. They provide conventional and powered bridge and rafting support for wet and dry gap crossing operations. This is not a civilian contractor position.
No experience necessary. Position is entry level.
- Construct bridges and rafts to help Soldiers cross rough terrain, bodies of water, and barriers they might encounter in the field.
- You will help create floating bridges and rafts from a boat as well as help combat engineers create safe crossings on land by building structures or demolishing obstacles.
- 10 weeks of Basic Training
- 4 weeks of Technical School with on-the-job instructions.
- 30 days paid vacation annually.

- Obtain Industry standard recognized certifications.
- Between 17-34 years old.
- No felonies. (Defer Adjudication included).
- Current High School Senior, High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Permanent resident or US citizen.
- Meet physical standards based on gender and age.
- Pass the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) test
