Salary: $90,000.00 – $96,000.00 (subject to negotiation)

Join the 7 News production team in Washington, DC as a Weekend News Producer.

This role involves building compelling, distinctive, viewer‑focused weekend newscasts with high editorial standards.

• Multi-platform news consumer, well‑versed in major storylines of the day.
• Solid news judgment.
• Writes impactful, concise scripts quickly.
• Communicates clearly with colleagues and talent on the set.
• Able to manage time and meet show deadlines.
• Responds positively to feedback and makes adjustments as required.
• Flexible in responding to late updates and breaking news.
• Able to troubleshoot effectively and calmly in the booth.
• Understands news is a 24‑7 business and may require nights, weekends and holidays.

• Minimum 3 years news producing experience at a commercial TV station.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or similar preferred.
• Familiarity with iNews, Xpression, Tagboard and Avid a plus.
