Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr.

• Serve as lead FP engineer and technical expert with the ability to answer questions and resolve issues for engineering staff.
• Participate in the design of fire protection systems and coordinate with other disciplines on projects—performing calculations and attending review meetings.
• Create detailed plans, processes, and procedures for engineering staff to use and abide by.
• Propose and oversee budgets and timelines for engineering projects.
• Check and confirm the accuracy of the work performed and the methods used by staff.
• Communicate and collaborate with other department managers across all office locations.
• Prepare and deliver various internal and external engineering‑related presentations.
• Perform department leader activities including hiring, coaching, and training of staff.

• 7+ years professional experience in fire protection engineering/design.
• PE/FPE license required—Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Advanced working knowledge of building codes, fire codes, NFPA Standards and FM Global Data Sheets.
• Proficient in standard engineering procedures with proven critical thinking and analytical problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive as part of a team.
• Team supervisory experience.
• Proficient relevant software skills including Revit, Bluebeam, BIM and MS Office.
• Skilled technical writer.
