Associate Engineer, Production

Venture Global LNG ("Venture Global") is a long‑term, low‑cost provider of American‑produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana‑based export projects serve global demand while advancing clean, reliable North American energy supplies through modular, mid‑scale plant design that delivers efficiency and operational reliability at lower capital cost.

We are seeking an Associate Engineer, Production to join our team in Arlington, VA. This role reports to the Principal Production Engineer and supports production engineering, process engineering, and operations across all our facilities. You will help maintain program compliance, deliver production volumes safely, and optimize plant performance through modeling and simulation in a fast‑paced environment.

• Develop and validate steady‑state and dynamic process models of LNG units using industry standard tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS).
• Apply appropriate methodologies—including data‑driven, physics‑based, and analytics models—to meet objectives.
• Engage with stakeholders (engineering, IT, operations) to build positive relationships.
• Analyze plant data and model outputs to identify optimization opportunities and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Assist in evaluating the impact of process changes, debottlenecking studies, and efficiency improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel to Louisiana LNG facilities as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 1–4 years of experience as an engineer in a process plant environment, or strong passion for the discipline.
• Deep interest in physics‑based modeling, data analytics, and machine learning methodologies.
• Knowledge of strengths, weaknesses, and applicability of different modeling approaches.
• Experience with statistical analysis methods and tools.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to present results and visualizations clearly for decision making.
• Previous plant‑engineer experience or internship in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and process modeling tools such as Unisim or Aspen HYSYS.
• Basic programming skills (C++/Python or similar) are advantageous.
• High energy, motivation, and initiative to excel within the organization.
