Job Overview
SC&A is seeking a mid‑level nuclear engineer/health physicist with experience in environmental assessments and safety evaluations of nuclear facilities for federal and/or state agencies, specifically uranium mills and in‑situ uranium recovery facilities.
Responsibilities• Evaluate facilities for potential environmental impacts, including hydrogeological, human health, safety, and air quality considerations.
• Conduct safety and environmental evaluations, document findings, and provide recommendations.
• Reference safety and environmental evaluations previously performed and cite them.
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in this field.
• Experience using radiation codes such as RESRAD, Micro Shield, and MILDOS (preferred).
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
LocationPreferred location:
Washington, D.C. area. Qualified candidates will be considered throughout the United States.
