Structural Design Technician
Be part of Jacobs' Built Environment team as a Structural Design Technician. This role is open across the United States, with a focus on creating state‑of‑the‑art structure designs for a variety of building types.
Base pay range$61,100.00 / yr – $84,000.00 / yr
Pay is determined by skills, experience and location.
You’ll work closely with clients and construction trade partners to develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate designs that consider existing conditions and other disciplines. You’ll communicate structural requirements to the construction team through traditional 2‑D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3‑D Revit models. You’ll also lead a small project team of designers, establishing project standards, procedures, training plans, and building team morale.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field
- At least 1 year of Revit experience
- At least 3 years AutoCAD design experience
- At least 2 years of Revit experience (preferred)
- Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures (preferred)
- Experience leading a team of designers (preferred)
- Experience with healthcare, institutional or commercial buildings (preferred)
- Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam (preferred)
