Event Manager - Main Event Caterers

Main Event Caterers is a premier catering company in DC. We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to own assigned events and ensure they exceed client expectations.

• Meet with clients to understand event dynamics and provide insights.
• Meet weekly with the chef to clarify menu expectations.
• Coordinate with Operations to ensure equipment orders.
• Work with Creative Services Manager on event design.
• Hands‑on involvement in all event aspects including day‑of operations.

• Control and manage all operations of catered events.
• Ensure safety, setup, service, breakdown, equipment accountability, and inventory management.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.

• 1+ year experience in event management (preferred).
• Strong work ethic, excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
• Can‑do attitude and teamwork.
• Professional appearance.

• Base salary: $76,000–$90,000 (Washington, DC) or comparable ranges for other locations.
• Commission and bonuses.

Weekends required. Flexible schedule including weekends;
Saturdays are the busiest day.

Bachelor's degree preferred. 1 year event management experience preferred.
