Our client, a prominent, successful DC-based Private Equity / investment company with a focus in real estate, construction, and other alternative investments seeks a high-potential, hands‑on accounting professional to join their financial management team. The company is located in Arlington, VA within walking distance to the Metro.
In this diverse role, this hands‑on, detailed, financial professional will have prior accounting experience along with real estate/construction financial industry exposure or have an interest in learning more about the industry. This person will report to the Controller and be responsible for the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly GAAP and cash financial statements, financial/management reporting for various entities to senior management and investors, oversee monthly entity/business closings, budgeting/forecasting, assist with the annual audits, work closely with the internal tax group, and special projects as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA or CPA candidate highly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting. Public/Corporate mix preferred.
- Familiarity with/interest in real estate, construction, or investment management industries a plus.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills are essential.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as well as manage multiple priorities.
