First Command Financial Services is seeking a Financial Advisor based in Arlington, VA 22202 for an in-person role supporting the military community. The position centers on helping military families develop holistic financial plans while also growing the advisor force through structured onboarding, training, and coaching.
This is a career path built around development and performance, with compensation connected to work and results. You will partner with local organizations and units, coach families on core planning areas, and progress through clearly defined earnings milestones over the first several years.
What You’ll Do- Engage directly with the military community by partnering with local military organizations, military units, and other affiliates that support military families
- Coach military families on building a holistic financial plan, including:
- Savings
- Investments
- Insurance
- Military experience or association
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proven leadership skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Self-driven approach
- Access to a specialized onboarding and training program designed for veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses
- Tools and support to guide you through the licensing process

Base Pay: $55,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
- Year One: Monthly Training Stipend (W2)
- Year Two: Independent Contractor (average $62,000)
- Year Three: Independent Contractor (average $85,000)
- Year Four: Independent Contractor (average $109,000)
