Budget Specialist
Support the Navy Secretariat Comptroller and Resource Directorate (SCRD) with comprehensive budget formulation and execution activities. You will be embedded within the federal staff, serving as a dedicated budget analyst and program activity liaison for assigned initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to federal staff, providing detailed analysis and actionable reporting to guide financial decision-making for assigned initiatives.
Support all phases of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) cycle, including the development of budget exhibits, unfunded requirement requests, and reclamas.
Drive the financial execution process by meeting obligation benchmarks, establishing and monitoring phasing plans, and processing budget requirements through the Navy ERP system.
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data using Excel and the ADVANA (analytics platform – Jupiter) tool to review fund status, identify trends, and ensure accurate control and monitoring of funds, and develop executive level briefings to bring the story that the data is telling to life.
