Purpose & ScopeThe OR Scrub Technician is accountable for technical functions related to the patient's perioperative experience. Functions include preparing the OR environment, equipment, instrumentation, and supply utilization. The technician reports to the circulating RN and works in concert with the department's philosophy and goals.
EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
ExperienceOne year of scrub experience preferred.
Certification/LicensureLicensed Surgical Technologist by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required. Certification in Surgical Technology preferred. BLS certification required.
