As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support our pharmacy teams by ensuring prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to a safe and inclusive culture.
Key Responsibilities- Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to improve patient health.
- Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Provide empathy and genuine care to patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone, including offering immunizations and other services.
- Complete basic inventory activities (e.g., putting away deliveries, cycle counts, returns, bin inventories) as directed.
- Work as part of a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and receive feedback.
- Remain flexible for scheduling needs and volunteer to travel to stores in the market.
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety, controlled substance dispensing, record‑keeping, and privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health care services when permitted (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, off‑site clinics).
- Complete required licensure and training to become a Technician Immunizer.
- Educate patients about vaccines and refer them to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty for vaccination questions.
- Monitor and respond to adverse reactions, reporting events per public health requirements.
- Collect and document patient information and track vaccine supplies.
- Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements, including age, education, and licensure.
- Minimum age: 16 if not specified by the board.
- High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school or equivalency program if not specified by the board.
- State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, confirm prescription accuracy.
- Customer service and team orientation: help people friendly, respond to reactions.
- Communication skills: verbal and written communication, active listening.
- Mathematical reasoning: use math to solve pharmacy problems.
- Problem resolution: identify and resolve challenging interactions.
- Physical demands: mobile, standing, lifting up to 20 lbs, repetitive finger work, visual acuity.
- Other tasks as directed by supervisor or manager.
- 1‑3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to work in the home store and across the market.

Pay Range$17.00 - $27.00 per hour.
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
