Position: CNA (P/T)
We are looking for a compassionate GNA to join our growing team!

The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

Responsibilities

* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

* Must be able to lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents, alone or with assistance.

* Observe residents' conditions, measuring/recording food/liquid intake and output as well as vital signs, then report changes to professional staff as applicable.

* Collect specimens such as urine, feces, or sputum.

* Must be able to explain medical instructions to residents and family members.

* Work as part of a medical team that examines and provides service to residents.

* Administer medications and treatments, such as catheterizations, suppositories, irrigations, enemas, massages, and douches, as directed by a physician or nurse.

* Answer residents' call lights.

* Provide residents with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed.

* Must be able to assist residents with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toiletry.

* Transport residents to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher.

* Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.

* Restrain residents if necessary.

* Prepare, serve, and collect food trays.

* Clean rooms and change linens as instructed.

* Deliver messages, documents and specimens.

* Answer phones and direct visitors as needed.

* Maintain inventory by storing, preparing, sterilizing, and issuing supplies such as dressing packs and treatment trays.

* Perform clerical duties such as processing documents and detailing residents' condition.

* Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating.

Qualifications

* Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills.

* Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties.

* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day.

* Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner.

* Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.

* Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)

* Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.

* Supportive and compassionate.

* High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a CNA, or completion of a CNA Program

* Licensed to work in the state of Virginia.

* Take pride in providing high quality care.

* Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
