Location: Arlington, VA 22203
Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour (based on experience)
OverviewWe are seeking a friendly, highly organized Medical Front Desk Lead to join our well-established OB/GYN practice in Arlington, VA 22203. This is a patient-facing leadership role and the first point of contact for patients. The Front Desk Lead supports daily front desk operations, ensures a smooth check-in experience, and helps maintain a professional, efficient, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities Patient Experience (Greet + Check-In)- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm, professional experience.
- Lead the patient check-in process, including guiding patients through kiosk check-in (if applicable) and addressing basic office questions.
- Serve as a calm, supportive presence in the waiting area and help de-escalate concerns when needed.
- Manage inbound calls, voicemails, and patient messages, routing requests to the appropriate clinical or administrative team members.
- Support timely and courteous communication to maintain a high standard of patient service.
- Act as the day-to-day point person for the front desk workflow, helping keep operations organized and running smoothly.
- Assist with training, mentoring, and supporting front desk staff as needed.
- Ensure adherence to office protocols, including patient flow, scheduling standards, and confidentiality practices.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a medical office or healthcare administrative setting.
- Strong communication, customer service, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.
- Proficiency with computers,
EHR/EMR systems
, and Microsoft Office. - Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive situations professionally, and de-escalate when needed.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organization skills.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Arlington, VA 22203.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Prior OB/GYN or women’s health experience.
