Job Details:

• Float position requiring willingness to float to IMC, Tele 1 (cardiac), Tele 2 (non-cardiac), and M/S units

• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required

• No call responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) per 6-week contract required

• 3 years of experience required with travel experience preferred

• Must have active Virginia or Compact license in hand at submission

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Cardiac Telemetry

• NIH certification preferred

• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required

• Experience required:
Management of Dysrhythmias, Telemetry monitoring, Rapid Response Teams, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Central Line Care Management, PICC Line Management, Heparin Protocols, Managing and titrating cardiac drips

• Preferred skills:
Starting IVs, Traumatic Brain Injury care, Peripheral Nerve Block Catheters, Surgical Drains, Wound Care/Wound Vac

• Isolation Precautions knowledge required

• Epic charting system experience required with mandatory Epic training class attendance

• Care for pulmonary, cardiac and trauma patients including those with tracheostomies, ventilators, high flow O2, BIPAP, chest tubes, and Zephyr Valves

• Manage patients with acute/chronic pulmonary conditions, CHF, MI protocols, dysrhythmias, and pacemaker/ICD care

• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
