The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader, ensuring exceptional resident care while coaching and supporting the caregiving team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
- Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
- Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
- Review charting to ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
- Support onboarding and mentor new team members
- Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions
The role combines direct caregiving with frontline leadership, modeling professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care
