What You’ll DoCEC is seeking a Technical Specialist to support the DEA Human Capital Division by delivering detailed, accurate, and confidential administrative HR support across staffing, classification, payroll, and records tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, a working knowledge of employment laws, and the ability to quickly learn HR systems in a secure federal environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in processing personnel actions in NFC and other DEA systems including DEA-Hire, eOPF, and EPIC.
- Support classification and position management documentation.
- Audit HR documentation for accuracy and policy compliance.
- Enter and maintain data in HR systems and ensure file compliance with NARA and DEA guidelines.
- Prepare reports and summaries based on HR data and operational metrics.
- Support coordination of HR-related projects and tasks under guidance of HR specialists.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field.
- Strong communication skills, both in written and oral.
- Basic knowledge of employment laws.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience using Federal HR and office systems (NFC, eOPF, MS Office Suite, USA Staffing, Empower
HR, eQIP).
