Systems Engineer II; Top Secret Clearance SCI Eligibility

Seeking an experienced computer systems engineering professional to join our team at the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC). Some knowledge of military weapon systems simulations is a plus. Must have an understanding of software development languages and technologies (C++, Python, Linux, etc.).

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Participate in planning and executing system upgrades, patches, and backups.
• Manage system access, user accounts, and permissions in compliance with security policies.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., Power Shell, Bash, Python).
• Support virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) and cloud‑based systems (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and security teams to support infrastructure needs.
• Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and change management records.
• Ensure disaster recovery plans and failover procedures are tested and functional.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in system administration, IT infrastructure, or systems engineering.
• TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
